Join the Fenix Supper Club for a Thanksgiving Gratitude Party with the “alluring earthy sweet-and-sour, mellow and rhythmically assured vocals*” of Dee Bell and the ebullient Brazilian accompaniment of the Marcos Silva Trio. Long-time veterans of the Bay Area professional music scene and former Concord Jazz recording artists, both Marcos and Dee have performed for more than thirty-seven years each. In their recent collaboration Silva • Bell • Elation, Dee’s swing vocals float in her relaxed behind-the-beat style over Marco’s exciting Brazilian-rooted rhythms for a subtle new yin and yang merging of music that covers a wide genre of material from Tin Pan Alley standards to Joni Mitchell and Neil Young.

Essentially after a few decades away, this Concord vet rounds of a bunch of SF pros, finds the jazz in Neil Young and sets sail. A jazz vocal date with a lot of traditional elements, it all comes together in a non-traditional way that blows your ears wide open. Jazz vocal fans won’t be offended in the least, no matter how purist they are, and you can bet a good time will be had by all.
