Long-term students and teachers of Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms moving meditation practice, Kathy Altman and Lori Saltzman co-founded The Moving Center School in 1987. Today, the Mill Valley, California school offers classes, workshops, intensives, and private movement sessions to approximately 400-600 students a week. The school has become an international destination for students wanting to immerse themselves in the healing power of mindful movement in community with others.
From September 10th to 12th the school and the Esalen Institute in Big Sur are hosting All My Relations: A 5Rhythms Weekend with Kathy Altman. This weekend workshop will use the 5Rhythms movement practice, a cathartic form of ecstatic moving meditation, to dance around and through those tight spots that keep individuals from falling in love with themselves, and with each other.
