Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training

Next CERT Basic Training is in San Rafael on 5 Tuesday evenings 6-9 pm  April 3- May 1  at San Rafael Fire Dept. at 210 3rd Street across from Whole Foods.

 Have you ever wondered if you would be able to put out a fire using a fire extinguisher? Or know how to splint a broken arm? Were you amazed to hear about that regular guy who actually lifted a refridgerator off an injured person? Be part of CERT & find out how he did it! Join us in the next CERT Basic Training and learn about suppressing fires,first aid , light search & rescue, cribbing  and working as a team in an emergency.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)is a national program, now part of Citizens Corp under FEMA. CERTs are volunteers who have gone through a training process that enables them to participate in the public safety response in a communtiy following a large scale emergency or disaster. Register online at www.marincountycert.org through paypal or print the form & mail it in with a check. The training is 15 hours and costs $15.00.
