After high school, you go to college, right? Maybe. During this First Thursday event for teens, attendees will learn about the post-high school experiences of five people who didn’t immediately go to college after high school graduation. From waitressing to making award-winning documentary films, the speakers will share a diverse array of experiences. Some of the speakers eventually went to college and some never did. Some chose to take a gap year and some needed to work for a few years before they could afford tuition for college. They all took a different path from the majority of their peers. The intent behind this event is to remind students that they have a variety of options to consider and to provide them with resources to explore those options, if that’s what they choose to do.
This event is only open to high school students.
