It Takes a Village - Maeve Burke - Executive Functioning

Maeve Burke, M.Ed./ET/P - Executive Functioning

Maeve Burke is an educational therapist serving families in Marin County. As a parent of a child with learning differences, and a classroom teacher of thirteen years, Ms. Burke sees each child through the lens of an educational therapist but brings a valuable parent and classroom teacher perspective to her practice.  She  provides an overview of executive functions and explains how weak executive functioning skills can compromise a child's learning experiences at school.  She'll also discuss strategies to help children with planning, organization, working memory, initiating skills, transitions, directions, and self-regulation.  For more information, see Ms. Burke's website: www.maeveburke.com
