The Marin Horizon Board of Trustees governs Marin Horizon School and is composed of parents, representatives from the community, teachers and the Head of School. Its responsibilities include defining the school mission and philosophy, forming school policy, hiring the Head of School and guaranteeing the financial stability of the school. Board committees include Development, Diversity, Finance, Strategic Planning, Site, and Trustees.
All board and committee members volunteer their time and expertise. It is through their dedication and hard work that Marin Horizon is able to maintain its high educational standards. Interested parents are strongly encouraged to notify board members or the Head of School of their interest and availability to serve in support of the board or any of its committees.
Board meetings are open to the community and public comment is welcomed from 6:30 - 7:00pm. The Marin Horizon Board is currently lead by Rosalind Hamar, the Head of School, and Scott Sklar, the Board Chair.
