Mill Valley Public Library Centennial Boat Race

The Old Mill Creek Boat Race was a yearly library tradition in the 1970s through the 1990s. In honor of its centennial year, the Mill Valley Public Library is re-launching the program. Kids and families are invited to attend a paper boat-making workshop with origami master Jeremy Shafer in the Creekside Room from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Boat makers will move outdoors to launch their vessels at 1:00 pm. Mr. Shafer will emcee, and library staff will be on hand to organize and energize the race. May the best boat win! A good time is guaranteed for all. (All ages, families welcome. Wear old clothes and rubber boots if you have them – there will be mud!)
