The Mill Valley School District encourages its educators to take advantage of formal and informal learning opportunities because it believes that professional development is an ongoing process that teachers should actively participate in. One such opportunity that the district provides are Teacher Work Days where teachers can combine collaborative learning while actively teaching in the classroom. Most development programs also include time for reflection and dialogue amongst participants.
