Felon With Loaded Gun Arrested During Traffic Stop In Marin

A deputy pulled over a vehicle in Marin City. One of the passengers was a felon with a loaded and concealed weapon, officials said.

MARIN CITY, CA — An armed felon was arrested during a traffic stop Tuesday night in Marin County.

A deputy on patrol pulled over a vehicle with expired registration around 10 p.m. in Marin City, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

Multiple people were in the vehicle, including a felon who was on probation. After pulling the woman out of the vehicle, the deputy spotted a loaded gun in her purse, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

She was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm.
