In their best outing of the season, Red-tailed Hawks defeat Terra Linda by 47 strokes.

After rough week where Tam endured three tough losses and injuries, it would have been easy for the young group to fold the tent and wait for next season. Instead, the Hawks (5-6) came out of the gates at McInnis Park against Terra Linda rested and re-focused and put together their their best team effort of the season.

Tam shot a collective 235, 17-strokes better than their previous low score.

"Every girl finally put in a good round and it was a good start to our push to make the MCAL Tournament," Tam coach John Haight said in an email.

Kate O'Brien returned from a hand injury to fire a match-best 40, besting her teammate Brooke Wenig (41) by a single stroke.

"If we can continue to put up this kind of consistency from the whole team, we do have a good chance to make the post season," Haight said. "I told the girls yesterday at the start of the match that we need to just take one match at a time for the next two weeks."
