Grand Opening Day Parade Kicks Off Mill Valley Little League Season

MILL VALLEY, CA — Mill Valley Little League is set to officially open its 2026 season with the beloved annual opening day parade and ceremony on Saturday.

The day promises a full slate of events, including the parade, the official Opening Day Ceremony, Photo Day for teams and a Used Equipment Sale.

The celebration will kick off with the traditional parade, featuring players, coaches and managers marching through the heart of Mill Valley, led by a bagpipe brigade.

The parade will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and the route will start at Old Mill School and proceed along Throckmorton Avenue, onto E. Blithedale Avenue and then follow Sunnyside Avenue to Carmelita Avenue, concluding at the Minor League field in Boyle Park. Traffic along the route is expected to be impacted for around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Following the parade, all teams will gather at Boyle Park for the official Opening Day Ceremony and the introduction of the 2026 teams. The ceremony is anticipated to begin once all teams have arrived and are seated, with an expected end time of around 10:45 a.m. Parents attending the ceremony are asked to bring their own chairs and blankets.

Any necessary route or venue changes due to weather will be posted on the MVLL website by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14th.
