Happening This Weekend: ICB/ART 'Artists At Work'

ICB/ART will host Artists at Work on Saturday, September 26, from 11am to 5pm. Artists at Work offers rare, intimate behind-the-scenes access to artists in their studios and to the process of making art.

ICB/ART’s Sausalito waterfront building will come alive with 60+ artists working across a wide range of mediums, opening their studios to visitors. Artists at Work is offered only twice a year and is free and open to all ages. Visit the Eventbrite page for more information.

Visitors roam studios on all three floors of the historic ICB building, interact with artists, and watch work in progress. Whether an art enthusiast, a curious newcomer, or a family looking for a creative outing, the event offers a rare chance to experience the energy behind the making of art.

Artists at Work reveals the creative process and the importance of supporting local artists. Many artworks are available for purchase and can be taken home the same day.

“It’s extraordinary to see art come to life when you have the opportunity to witness it being created,” said Erika Parrino, President of the ICB/ART Board. “Typically, the public only gets to enjoy a finished piece of art. With Artists at Work, you get the full story behind the art. You learn about the process, and the inspiration for each piece.”
