Rattlesnake Bites Hiker On Mount Tamalpais

The hiker was transported by helicopter to John Muir Medical Center.

MARIN COUNTY, CA –A hiker is in stable condition after being bit by a rattlesnake Sunday afternoon on Mount Tamalpais, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP's H-30 helicopter responded to the scene around 2:15 p.m. The Marin County Fire Department also responded and found the hiker with multiple rattlesnake bites.

The hiker was flown to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The patient was in stable condition as of 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the CHP.
