Italian Street Painting Marin's Carnevale di Venezia Draws Thousands

Thousands of attendees were treated to works of art that were largely centered around the Venetian theme.

Artists from around the globe converged in downtown San Rafael last weekend, transforming the streets with fantastic chalk murals as part of Italian Street Painting Marin’s Carnevale di Venezia. The landmark event was created in 1994 by longtime Mill Valley resident and arts teacher Sue Carlomagno, who received a Milley Award in 2011.
