Taking a 20 minute walk every day can kick start your exercise habits.

Switching your favorite snack to a fruit can lead to eating more fruits and vegetables.

And remember, avoid trying to overhaul everything at once or it won’t stick!

Mazen Hariri, DO

Prima Medical Foundation, Sausalito Primary Care

· Physical exercise can allow you to live better, longer, and yes, happier.

· Starting slowly with short exercise sessions can lessen the stress from your new routine.

· Pick an activity that you like and are familiar with and have fun while you do it.

· Soon, the energy and joy from the activity itself will spread to the rest of your day.

Rupali Chaudhuri, BSN, RN, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

· Incorporate at least 30 minutes of exercise three times a week to help with lowering blood pressure, cholesterol, stress, and to promote better health.

· Remember mind, body and soul work together. What affects one will affect the others. For mind and soul, know your healing place and visit it often. For your body, eat healthy and sleep well.

· Nutrition is the foundation of our health. Eat healthy and nutritiously. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and drink more water.

· Look at your lifestyle and try to eliminate one bad habit that you know you could do better without. It could be cutting back on drinking or smoking, reducing your sugar intake, or taking a walk instead of spending time in front of the television.

· Keep reminding yourself, "It is difficult, but not impossible.”

The above practitioners are currently accepting new patients with the exception of Dr. Hariri who will be accepting new patients in early February.
