North Bay Man Arrested On Suspicion Of ID Theft In 3 Counties
Jerald Doctor, 49, of Vallejo, is suspected of identity theft in Marin, Solano and Lake counties.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The Marin County Sheriff's Office arrested a Vallejo man on suspicion of identity theft that involved three counties.
A Strawberry resident informed the sheriff's office on Feb. 12 that money was taken from her bank account without her permission, sheriff's Lt. Steve de la O said.
Several checks were cashed against her account at Solano County businesses, and one of the names used to cash the checks was a male victim of identity theft who lives in Solano County, de la O said.

The Solano County identity theft victim was in the process of clearing his name with one of the businesses where his check was passed, and he provided sheriff's detectives with a police report taken by the Lake
County Sheriff's Office, de la O said.
The name of a suspect, Jerald Doctor, appeared in the Lake County deputy's report. Doctor had been arrested on suspicion of drug possession and was allegedly in possession of the Solano County theft victim's identity and credit cards, de la O said.

Marin County sheriff's detectives located Doctor, 49, in Lake County Wednesday morning and arrested him on suspicion of forgery, burglary, making or passing a fictitious check and identity theft, de la O said.
Sheriff's detectives also searched Doctor's Vallejo home and found evidence of manufacturing identifications and the names of other possible victims in Solano and Lake counties, de la O said.
Sheriff's detectives are investigating how Doctor came into possession of the Strawberry woman's bank account information and he was booked in the Marin County Jail, de la O said.
