Marin 10u Girl's Travel Softball Team Competing with Nation's Best

The NorCal Smackers 10U girls fastpitch softball team, based out of San Rafael and featuring players from Mill Valley (Jordan Lebsock and Kacea Stetler), Tiburon (Sammy Horn, Cameron Howard and Amina Williams), San Rafael (Kelsey McNair), Novato (Diana Duncan, Malaya Johnson, Kilee Koch, Lauren Osheroff and Bryn Weigel-Murphy) and Napa (Shelby Morse), has had an amazing 2015 spring/summer season. They are 54-18-1 and have been in 7 tournament championship games since February. The girls have scored over 502 runs in the 73 games they have played while only giving up 199 runs in that time. These girls play with a passion and with sportsmanship that is above and beyond what most have seen on the field. Through their hard work and dedication to the game, they have become the only Marin travel softball team to ever qualify for both the ASA [Amateur Softball Association] National Championship in Normal, IL and the PGF [Premier Girls Fastpitch] National Championship in Huntington Beach, CA. They have elected to compete in the more prestigious PGF event and will face off with the best 31 teams in the USA starting Saturday, July 25 and ending on Friday, July 31, 2015.
