San Rafael, CA – Nonprofits that provide countywide services in Marin County are eligible to apply for the County of Marin’s Nonprofit Community Partners program, which formalizes the way the County provides financial support to local nonprofits and adds a layer of transparency to the decision-making process.
The Nonprofit Community Partners allotments are $10,000 to $40,000 and awarded once a year. Allocations are intended as one-time funds to be applied to projects/programs that can be completed within the designated fiscal year.

Applications may be submitted online and will be accepted through February 19. Application guidelines and criteria are on the County Administrator's Office (CAO) website. Applicants for the program must prove that services will be delivered in Marin, for the benefit of Marin residents, and are offered to all residents regardless of race, ethnic background, religion, or any other limiting factors.
CAO staff will review applications and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors in June 2022 as part of the adoption of the final annual County budget for 2022-2023. The County is allocating $650,000 to the program for 2022-23. The funding is designed to support community services for which the expenditure does not fit neatly into the budget of a single County department.
