Meditation 101 wabi sabi
No charge. Suggested donation $10 Proceeds collected go to O'Hanlon Center for the Arts 616 Throckmorton Ave. Thursday, June 4; 7-8:30

Learn mindfulness-based meditation from the ground up. This introductory class includes breath and present moment awareness and instruction on how to calm the mind, quiet the emotions and live more fully in the present moment. Includes instruction, guided meditation, silent practice, walking meditation, a short dharma talk and time for questions.
This class will take place in the Gallery during the annual wabi-sabi exhibit. O’Hanlon members and the community at large are invited to attend and experience the direct connection between wabi-sabi principles and the meditative or contemplative arts.
Seating provided. Please bring any extra cushions you may need. All proceeds will be donated back to The O’Hanlon Center to support and benefit their work.

Mill Valley psychotherapist Catherine Flaxman is a lifelong meditator, who began practicing insight (Vipassana) meditation in 1974. She has been a guest teacher at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and conducts a weekly meditation group in Mill Valley on Tuesday nights.
