Mill Valley Tweaks Street Closure Program: Report

Miller Avenue between Throckmorton to Sunnyside avenues will be fully closed but only on weekends according to the report.

MILL VALLEY, CA — Mill Valley’s City Council on Monday adjusted its street closure program on a part of Miller Avenue, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

Councilmembers made the move amid a crossfire between street-closure opponents and supporters of the program who say it benefits local businesses, the report said.

They elected to fully close Miller Avenue between Throckmorton to Sunnyside avenues but only on weekends between noon on Saturdays and Sunday evenings according to the report.

The move is expected to go into effect this weekend according to the report.

The section of Miller Avenue has been partially closed with traffic lanes reduced Thursdays through Sundays, the report said.
