Mill Valley Will Host 3 Fire Evacuation Drills
Mill Valley, Tiburon and Sausalito will participate in several different evacuation drills on June 4 and 25.

MILL VALLEY, CA — Marin County first responders will hold a series of evacuation drills on June 4 and 25 in Mill Valley, Sausalito and Tiburon. The drills are organized by the Southern Marin Fire Protection District, in partnership with Mill Valley Fire, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, and the police departments of Mill Valley, Sausalito and Tiburon.
The drills will allow residents to practice their fire evacuation routes, and learn about community safety and disaster preparedness.
To participate, sign up for alerts at AlertMarin.org. On the morning of the designated morning drill, AlertMarin will provide instructions on how to walk to the Community Refuge Area.

- Old Mill School: June 4, 10 a.m.
- Edgewood Reservoir: June 4, 10 a.m.
- Mount Tamalpais School: June 25, 10 a.m.
Sausalito
- Rodeo/MLK Park: June 4, 1 p.m.
- Spencer/Cloudview Park: June 25, 10 a.m.
Tiburon
- Blackfield/Bell Aire School: June 4, 1 p.m.
“Ember Stomp,” the first-ever wildlife prevention festival in Marin County, will take place at the Marin Center Fairgrounds in San Rafael on May 28 from 11 to 5. The event will feature live music, hands-on activities, awards and entertainment, food, and fire prevention information. Admission is free.
