Missing 69-Year-Old Mill Valley Man Found Safe: Police

MILL VALLEY, CA — A 69-year-old Mill Valley man who was reported missing after he did not return home from work was safely located, police announced Thursday evening.

Alexander Drejes was last seen at work in Richmond on Wednesday evening before he failed to return to his Mill Valley home.

Police had asked for the public's help finding Drejes and his white 2014 Mercedes Sprinter van.

At the time, authorities said Drejes was known to become confused at work because of exposure to chemicals. He had gone missing under similar circumstances about five months earlier and was found in San Francisco about 24 hours later. Police had not determined whether the latest disappearance was related to a similar incident.

Mill Valley police later announced that Drejes had been safely located and thanked the public for its assistance.

Police did not provide additional information about where Drejes was found or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
