More Roads Close In Marin County Amid Weeklong Flooding
Another round of closures was announced as unusually high water continued to disrupt travel across southern Marin.
MILL VALLEY, CA — Another round of tidal flooding closed roads in Mill Valley on Friday, extending a week of disruptions that have left drivers navigating detours and flooded streets across Marin County.
Mill Valley police issued an advisory at 2:05 p.m. Friday urging drivers to avoid Miller Avenue between Camino Alto and Almonte Boulevard, as well as the west side of Redwood Highway Frontage Road between Hamilton Drive and the southbound Highway 101 off- and on-ramps.
The closures will remain in place until the water recedes, police said.

The latest closures follow several days of flooding in the area. Roads in Mill Valley were closed Tuesday and Wednesday, and police in Mill Valley, Larkspur and Corte Madera reported additional flooded streets Thursday. Some roads reopened later Thursday, but flooding continued to affect the region.
The flooding has been driven by exceptionally high tides, which have inundated low-lying areas around San Francisco Bay. The National Weather Service's coastal flood advisory has been extended through Sunday for bayshore locations, according to Marin County emergency officials.
