New Center Brings County Services Closer To Southern Marin Residents
The facility will offer access to health, food assistance and social service programs in one location.
MARIN CITY, CA — Marin County has opened a new services center in Marin City aimed at improving access to county programs and resources for residents throughout Southern Marin.
The Southern Marin County Services Annex officially opened Monday at 630 Drake Ave.
The annex brings multiple county services together in one location, including assistance with Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs, General Relief, behavioral health services, the Women, Infants and Children program and services for older adults.

Additional county departments and community partners are expected to offer services and office hours at the site on a regular basis.
The facility is located near the Marin City boxing gym and was developed following years of planning and community engagement, county officials said.

"Everyone deserves access to the services and support they need to thrive," said Marin County Executive Derek Johnson . "The Southern Marin County Services Annex helps remove barriers and brings important resources closer to the communities we serve."
The county said it plans to continue gathering community feedback as the annex evolves.
Starting on Monday, the facility is now open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a daily closure from noon to 1 p.m.
