One Dead After Fishing Boat Capsizes Off of Farallon Islands Saturday
The two men who survived the capsizing are in their mid-50s and early 60s, police said.

One man died and two others survived when the fishing boat they were on capsized near the Farallon Islands off the coast of San Francisco on Saturday, police said today. San Francisco police said the boat with three people on board capsized just off of the Farallon Islands, located roughly 30 miles outside the Golden Gate Bridge.
The incident was reported around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, police said. When emergency crews arrived at the scene they found one man deceased, one injured and a third who was uninjured.
The Marin County coroner’s office is handling the autopsy and was not immediately releasing the victim’s identity this morning. The two men who survived the capsizing are in their mid 50s and early 60s, police said.

The man in his 60s was transported to Marin General Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Authorities are investigating what caused the boat to capsize and exactly how the man died.
