Pt Reyes Landscape Photography Workshop with Hendrik Paul

Learn more about making successful landscape photographs with renowned photographer Hendrik Paul. You'll spend the day photographing some of his favorite spots in Pt Reyes, as well as receiving instruction, insight and critiques in the classroom.

In this 3 session course, Hendrik Paul guides you through the process of creating powerful nature and landscape images. The first class will consist of a lecture and discussion of the history and varying approaches towards landscape photography. In addition, we will discuss advice regarding equipment. The second class will be an all day field trip to Point Reyes where participants will photograph with their own camera and gear. The final and third class will be spent critiquing the images taken while in Point Reyes.

Our all-day Saturday field trip to Point Reyes will begin with lunch at the Station House Cafe. After our stomachs are full and all photographic themes have been discussed, we will head down the road to the Bear Valley Visitor Center and hike the Bear Valley to Arch Rock trail. From forests and trails to scenic bluff and panoramic views of Drakes Bay there will be a lot to photograph.

This class is meant for all levels of photographic ability and is open to both film and digital mediums. Hendrik’s unique perspective on the subject of landscape photography combined with knowledge of the craft makes for a wonderful photographic experience.
