Robin Williams Steals the Show at MVFF37 Celebration

At a 37th Mill Valley Film Festival event Sunday afternoon, hundreds packed into the Throckmorton Theatre to hear some of Robin William’s old friends and standup comedy veterans share tales of their time with the late, legendary local comedian and actor, who died August 11 at the age of 63.

And while there were plenty of great stories and tributes from comedians Johnny Steele and Steven Pearl, as well as from Mill Valley Film Festival Executive Director Mark Fishkin, it was Williams himself, unsurprisingly, who completely owned the event through a series clips of his films and from the 1988 MVFF trailer.
