Seat Available On Pest Management Commission

The board of supervisors is searching for a representative from District 3, which includes Mill Valley, Strawberry and other communities.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – There is a vacancy on the Marin County Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Commission. The seat represents District 3, which covers Mill Valley, Strawberry, Tiburon, Belvedere, Marin City, Tamalpais Valley and Sausalito).

The main focus of the IPM Commission is on landscape maintenance practices and structural pest control activities that take place on facilities owned and operated by the county.

Appointed by the Marin County Board of Supervisors, members of the IPM Commission oversee implementation of the Marin County IPM Ordinance and Policy. The commission also advises and makes recommendations to the county parks’ IPM coordinator and board of supervisors as needed.

The nine-member commission meets four times a year at the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael. Applicants with technical and practical IPM experience are desired.
