September Pit Fire Workshop
Date: Burnishing Date 08/20th, 12pm-2pm (Day 1*), Pit Fire Sept. 25th, 8am-5pm (Day 2)
Fee: Days 1+2: $125/Person
Please reserve your spot as soon as possible; there rare only a few spots left!
For those who are new to pit fire we offer a one day, 2-hour workshop, August 20th, to learn how to burnish your pieces and discuss the appropriate forms and the clays best suitable for this kind of firing.
Clays best suitable for pit firing will be offered as an optional purchase, these are better able to withstand thermal shock, and prevent cracks!
Sept. 25th, Day 2:
Spend the day at the Beach for the Pit Fire. Be prepared to have fun, enjoy a potluck, get dirty, and do some manual labor. Please wear cotton or wool, synthetics are flammable. pLease note there is an $8 parking fee at the beach site.
