Speed Limit To Be Lowered On Miller Avenue In Mill Valley

The speed limit is being reduced from 40 mph to 35 mph on Miller Avenue between Camino Alto and the southern border of Mill Valley.

MILL VALLEY, CA – Take caution, drivers! The Mill Valley City Council voted Monday to reduce the speed limit from 40 mph to 35 mph on Miller Avenue between Camino Alto and the southern border of the city.

According to the city, changes to the speed limit go into effect the week of July 24, 2017, when the Department of Public Works is expected to change speed limit signs on along that stretch of Miller Avenue. The Mill Valley Police Department will give drivers warnings on the new speed limit for the first two weeks of implementation and then begin enforcement on Aug. 7.

Mill Valley is reducing the speed limit after recent improvements that encourage bicycle and pedestrian traffic on Miler Avenue, according to the city.
