MARIN COUNTY, CA — A woman who was found dead over the weekend in the water in San Francisco has been identified by the Marin County Sheriff's Office-Coroner Division as Anahi Alejandra Rivero, 24, of San Jose.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew found a body matching Rivero's description shortly after 8:30 a.m. Saturday about a mile southwest of Mile Rock off Land's End Beach.
Friends said she went for a swim, and they reported her missing around 8:25 p.m. Friday in the same area. The Coast Guard said strong currents swept Rivero out to sea.
