Tiburon Man Accused in Rape of Boston University Student

Prosecutors in Massachusetts allege a student woke up in her dorm room to the Tiburon man sexually assaulting her.

A Tiburon man has been indicted in Suffolk County, Massachusetts for allegedly raping a woman in a Boston University dorm room in October.

Samson Donick, 20, formerly of Boston, is charged with sexually assaulting the 20-year-old woman on Oct. 18, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

Donick and three other males, none of whom attend Boston University, were signed into the dorm building by two female students and entered the women's suite around 2 a.m., according to the indictment.

Donick and one of the other men went to search for a female student around 2:30 a.m. in 10 different dorm rooms on four floors, according to the indictment.

During that time, a 20-year-old woman who did not know Donick or the other man, woke up while Donick allegedly was sexually assaulting her. Donick fled when the woman confronted him and screamed, according to the indictment.

The woman informed friends and Boston University Police, and when the school issued a public safety alert, other students reported two unknown college-age men entered their dorm rooms that night, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

Boston University Police identified the men using video from a stairwell and at the front desk where they signed in. The second man told police he and Donick entered several suites and bedrooms that night including a bedroom Donick had stayed in for a short time, the District Attorney's Office said.

The victim's description of the assailant was consistent with Donick and the clothing he was wearing in the surveillance camera video, District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said. Donick was scheduled to be arraigned on May 11. He is charged with aggravated rape, breaking and entering at night with intent to commit a felony, burglary and indecent assault and battery.
