It lived for 40 years in the same home until it was moved into my home in 2006.  At that time I had it partially refurbished, replacing the strings on the low register, replacing  hammer pads, adjusting the action, repairing a few keys, and installing high grade rubber casters.  The cost of the refurbish was close about $2,000.  The work was performed by JB Piano Co. of San Rafael (highly reputable company).  At the time, the shop owner commented that this was a very fine piano that appeared to have been well cared for all of it's life.  It has been tuned several times since then but it seems to hold it's tune for a long time.

The piano has a wonderful full tone and great action.

The keys are original real ivory.  Any chipped keys have been replaced with other antique piano ivory keys.  3 pedals all in perfect working condition.

The wood body (mahogany?) has minor wear with some scratches and small dents along the base and edges. There are a few parts of the elaborate scrolling trim missing from front.
