Woman Arrested For Possessing Stolen Vehicle​: Mill Valley Police

Katherine Gallagher, 37, drove directly at officers who withdrew behind their patrol cars to avoid being struck, police said.

MILL VALLEY, CA – Mill Valley police arrested a San Francisco woman Tuesday on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest.

Around 1:35 a.m. behind a business on Miller Avenue, a police officer saw a Dodge Charger that matched the description of a reported stolen car.

The vehicle started moving and additional Mill Valley police officers and Marin County sheriff's deputies arrived and stopped the Dodge at Miller Avenue and Valley Circle, police said.

The driver, identified as Katherine Gallagher, 37, of San Francisco, drove directly at the officers who withdrew behind their patrol cars to avoid being struck, according to police. Officers smashed the Dodge's driver's side window to stop Gallagher and prevent injuries to her and the officers, police said.

Gallagher was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, possession of ammunition and driving on a suspended license.
