12 Arrested In San Jose Gang Sweep
The "violent criminal gang" is believed to be responsible for a series of robberies, carjackings, burglaries and a shooting.

SAN JOSE, CA - Seven adults and five juvenile residents were arrested last Wednesday in a sting targeting a gang, according to San Jose police.
The operation involving more than 50 officers focused on what police described as a "violent criminal gang" that is believed to be responsible for a series of robberies, carjackings, burglaries and a shooting.
The adults arrested were identified as San Jose residents Diego Diaz, 18, Ezekial Brown, 18, Javis Anthony, 18, Aida Gutierrez, 42, Jose Hernandez Pedroza, 22, Anwar Mohammad, 21 and Rafael Quintero, 18.

Police said the crew was responsible for at least 30 robberies and carjackings since the summer of 2017. During one of the robberies, a victim was assaulted and suffered a serious head injury.
During the crimes, the gang often used stolen vehicles and firearms, according to police.

During the arrests, police seized seven firearms, one carjacked vehicle, $2,000 in cash, ammunition, replica firearms, a stun gun, pepper spray, knives, and stolen property such as laptops, tablets, keys and key fobs as evidence.
Authorities served eight search and arrest warrants in the city of San Jose and one in the city of Morgan Hill in order to make the arrests.
The adults were booked into Santa Clara County Jail and the juveniles, ranging from 15 to 17 years of age, were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall. The suspects were booked on offenses including robbery,
carjacking, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, child endangerment, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of drugs and gang enhancement. police said.
