Deadline Approaching for High School Art Contest
The winner will win a trip to Washington, D.C. to attend a special reception. Just two weeks remain to submit entries.

Congressman Mike Honda (D-C17) is once again participating in the Congressional Art Competition. Each year, he invites students from high schools throughout the 17th Congressional District to submit their artwork for a chance to win the grand prize of having their artwork professionally displayed in the U.S. Capitol and 2 round-trip tickets to Washington DC for a special reception for winners nationwide.
Congressman Honda hopes students throughout the 17th District will participate in the competition. The deadline for the competition is April 25, 2015. Students may wish to view the flyer online at the following website for more information about this year’s competition, artwork guidelines, and how to submit artwork: http://tinyurl.com/2015HondaCAC
40 area students entered their artwork last year. Yihao Xu, of Lynbrook High School in San Jose, won the grand prize for his painting “Qi Pao.” Over 70 students and parents attended a reception last June to honor the winners and runners up in the art competition.
