Debris Flows Down Milpitas Hillside Street

MILPITAS, CA — A water transmission line disruption in Milpitas led debris to flow down a hillside road on Monday afternoon, city officials said.
Firefighters responded to a reported disruption on a water transmission line at Calera Creek Heights Drive just north of Summitpointe Golf Club around 3:20 p.m., city officials said.
Residents were directed away from the area due to debris that was blocking the street, according to city officials.

There were no reported injuries or property damage, according to city officials.
The line is owned and maintained by the state Department of Water Resources, which was called to clean up the debris, city officials said.
