
EAST FOOTHILLS, CA: A magnitude 2.7 earthquake struck near East Foothills Monday evening, according to the United States Geological Survey. The temblor was reported around 9:32 p.m.
Residents in the area reported feeling the quake as far away as San Jose and Milpitas. The quake was less than 10 miles from Milpitas, less than 7 miles from San Jose.
No injuries were reported as a result of the quake.
