DUI Driver Arrested With Stolen Handgun: Milpitas Police
Police say the gun was stolen in a home burglary in San Jose last year.

MILPITAS, CA —A San Jose man was arrested last week in Milpitas on suspicion of several offenses including driving under the influence of marijuana and alcohol, police said Tuesday.
Endy Rendon, 20, was arrested after an officer allegedly saw him at 2:19 a.m. Jan. 16 in a black 2016 Jeep Patriot leaving a parking lot of a strip mall on Milmont Drive with the Jeep's headlights off.
Police allege Rendon sped east on Dixon Landing Road to Dixon Road where the officer stopped him.

The officer believed that Rendon was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana and arrested him.
The officer searched Rendon's SUV where he allegedly found a loaded handgun and a small amount of marijuana.

Police allege the gun had been stolen in September in a home burglary in San Jose.
Rendon was booked into the county jail on suspicion of illegally possessing a loaded gun in a vehicle, carrying a concealed gun, possessing stolen property and driving under the influence of marijuana and alcohol.
