Milpitas Light Rail Station to Close For 3 Months
The station is being modified to accommodate BART.

MILPITAS, CA — A light-rail station in Milpitas will shutter for the next three months as crews modify it in preparation for the BART extension to Silicon Valley, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority officials said Monday.
Starting Jan. 30, the Montague station will be completely closed while crews set it up to accommodate an elevator stop for the newly constructed pedestrian overcrossing above Capitol Avenue.
VTA will provide a shuttle between the station and the Great Mall Transit Center from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on weekends, VTA officials said. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes before 8:30 p.m. and every 30 minutes after.
