The Milpitas Police Department just started a new program which will allow Milpitas residents and business owners to register their privately-owned security camera systems to help solve crime.
As crimes occur, the Milpitas Police Department may be able to use information from footage gathered from security cameras to assist the investigation. Often times security camera footage helps identify suspects and/or provides additional investigative leads.
The Milpitas Police Department WILL NOT have remote access to your home or business security camera systems. Camera footage is provided to us solely at the owner’s discretion.
