Pair Arrested For Alleged Meth Sales in Milpitas

The two San Jose residents were already wanted on warrants when caught with drugs and a gun, according to police.

Milpitas Police Officers arrested two people last Thursday for alleged meth sales and possession of a firearm.

Police encountered the suspect on the 200 block of Selwyn Drive. Alexis Catherine Chantily Laahs and Gilbert Joseph Lopez both had outstanding no bail warrants. They were taken into custody without incident.

Officers found a loaded Raven Arms .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol in the pair’s car, along with 52 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $1600, and a glass pipe for smoking illegal street drugs.

Lopez was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of a loaded firearm, providing false information to a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the warrant for parole violation.

Laahs was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for providing false information to a peace officer, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the warrant.
