Police Arrest Duo In Connection With Armed Robbery Of Milpitas Tobacco Store
Now authorities are hoping to find the two witnesses who walked in the shop during the crime.

Police announced Thursday they arrested two men who allegedly robbed a Milpitas store while brandishing a gun last month.
On June 22, at 12:47 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery that occurred at Cheap Cigarettes, located at 1201 E. Calaveras Blvd, according to police. One of the suspects entered the business, brandishing the handgun, and stole cash and cigars. The suspect then fled in a black Honda Civic that was being driven by another suspect, police said.
A few hours later, officers spotted the same vehicle traveling on Dixon Landing Road towards Interstate Highway 880, police said. When police tried to stop the vehicle, it drove onto the highway. Police decided not to pursue the vehicle when the vehicle exceeded 100 miles per hour, according to police.

Based on the vehicle’s information, police identified the driver of the vehicle as Jonathon Cereno, 20, of Santa Clara.
Police also identified Marco Gurrola, 19, of Milpitas, as the suspect who entered the business with a handgun.

Police arrested the two men and booked them into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for several criminal charges, including armed robbery, police said.
Police are now seeking a man and a woman who walked into the business in the middle of the robbery and were scared away by the armed suspect, according to police.
