Firefighters are responding to a two-alarm fire in San Jose this afternoon, a fire spokesman said. Fire crews responded to a report of a fire shortly before 4 p.m. on Waterton Lane, just north of Berryessa Road, fire Capt. Christopher Salcido said. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a two-story building, which is either an apartment or condominium, Salcido said. All of the building's occupants have evacuated, according to Salcido. More than 40 firefighters have responded to the scene, he said. No injuries were reported.
