Two Sons Charged In Murder Of San Jose Parents

Two sons of a couple found fatally shot at a home in San Jose's Evergreen neighborhood Sunday have been charged with murder.

SAN JOSE - Two sons of a couple found fatally shot at a home in San Jose's Evergreen neighborhood Sunday have been charged with murder, prosecutors said Friday.

Hasib Bin Golamrabbi, 22, is facing a murder charge along with his brother, 17-year-old Omar Golamrabbi, who is being charged as an adult, according to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office.

They were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of their parents, 59-year-old Golam Rabbi and 57-year-old Shamima Rabbi, San Jose police said.

The married couple was found suffering gunshot wounds at a home in the 3000 block of Lucas Court, where officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances around 1:45 p.m. Sunday, police said.

The husband and wife were both shot at least once and they were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The older son of the couple was not initially identified a suspect in the case, but investigators later suspected he played a role in the fatal shootings. He was found and arrested in Tracy and was booked into Santa Clara County Jail, where he is being held without bail, according to police.

His teenage brother, who had spoken with investigators earlier in the week, was also later identified as a suspect and was arrested Wednesday, police said.

The 17-year-old boy is being held in Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall, police said.

There are no other suspects in the case, according to police.
