“We’re thrilled to bring BASIS Independent to the Bay Area, the heart of so much growth and innovation,” said Michael Block, co-founder of BASIS.ed and BASIS Independent Fremont. “We look forward to educating young students to the highest international levels with a joyful learning culture where hard work is celebrated and intellectual pursuits result in extraordinary outcomes.”

Block was recognized as a top educator by Noodle, an education website helping parents and students make better decisions about learning. Noodle also noted Block for ‘creating educational institutions that combined the rigors of Asian and European schooling with the American system’s emphasis on creativity and originality.’
