Patch: How can a piece of thread remove hair?

Ari Dash: It's better than tweezing, which can give you ingrown hairs. The thread pulls the hair out from the roots and for eyebrows, we can really shape them.
Patch: Is there a particular way you must hold the thread?
Dash: We just twist the thread together a couple of times, kind of like a screw, and the twisted end grabs the hair and pulls it out.
Patch: Is there a particular type of thread you use?
Dash: We use cotton thread, but the brand is secret. Most people are not allergic to cotton.
Patch: How did you learn how to thread?
Dash: There's no school for threading. I learned from my family, it's kind of like cooking.
