Candidates for Mission Viejo City Council to Debate-Margot Ferron

Maybe you don’t know who you are going to vote for and you can’t decide. It is possible you have never even heard of some of the candidates for Mission Viejo city council and you aren’t aware of the issues the city is facing.

Meet candidates: Wendy Bucknum, Desi Kiss, Dave Leckness, Greg Raths, Rhonda Reardon, Ed Sachs, Stephen Thornton and Grant Voss on Wed., Oct. 15 at 6:30 pm at Norman P. Murray Community & Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way, MV 92691. Come earlier at 5:30 pm to meet candidates running for various South County offices.

The Rotary Club is hosting this free event. To ask questions you must register at www.debate.missionrotary.org. Dr. David Bugay, Vice Chancellor of South Orange County Community College School District, will be the moderator.

“Rotary is famous for its 4-Way Test: is it the truth, is it fair to all concerned, will it benefit all concerned and will it build good will and friendships. Those can be difficult hurdles for elected officials,” said Bugay. “We will be interested in how candidates respond to questions while observing ethics.

Each candidate will introduce themselves and answer questions. Candidates will answer your questions regarding the city government, how your tax dollars are spent and pending projects.
