Annual Concert In The Park Returns To Mission Viejo: What To Know
Residents can save the date for the annual Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park, which takes place this August.

Save the date for the annual Symphony in the Cities and Prelude in the Park on Saturday, August 3 on the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way.

With an outer space theme - “Cosmic Adventure Awaits” - Symphony in the Cities includes the Children’s Musical Playground and Prelude in the Park from 4 to 7 pm followed by the concert at 7 pm.
During the Prelude, patrons can connect with local STEM non-profit, Science Heads, including NASA Solar System Ambassadors, who will be on hand with their mobile observatory, Explorer 1, an astronomical observatory that offers a professional astronomer-like experience for all ages. Advanced computer-controlled telescopes for both daytime and nighttime use offers breathtaking views of the Sun, planets, nebulas, and many other astronomical objects.

Volunteers can earn community service hours, have fun and feel good while savoring music by the Pacific Symphony led by Maestro Carl St.Clair and enjoy a host of fun activities during the City’s Prelude in the Park. Register online at this link, and for more information, email symphonyvolunteer@cityofmissionviejo.org. Volunteers must be 15 or older.
Local organizations and non-profits can also get involved by registering for a community booth. Booths must fit the "Comic Adventure Awaits" theme and include an activity. To apply, fill out an application and email it to symphonybooth@cityofmissionviejo.org.
A limited number of VIP tables for up to 10 people are available for $150. Reserve a table online.
