offices, restaurants and auto spa on the southeast corner of Avery Parkway and Marguerite Parkway.

The applicant is now asking for a change in design to the proposed two-level shopping center that would

shift the auto spa to the east (underneath the parking structure deck), reduce the retail square footage

by about 2,100 and bump up the number of on-site parking spaces, with a reduced building setback

along Avery Parkway.

Commissioners will also consider a plan by Oggi’s restaurant at 24042 Alicia Parkway in the Gateway

Center to modify its 5,935-square-foot building to include a new 9-foot tower element, entry feature

with new exterior lighting, wall wood plank paneling and enhanced landscape.

In addition, The Melt restaurant under construction at The Shops at Mission Viejo is asking for a

conditional use permit to sell beer and wine at its 2,000-square-foot eatery with a 500-square foot patio

that will serve grilled cheese, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more.

The commission’s September 14 meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Mission Viejo

City Hall, 200 Civic Center. For more information, call 949-470-3053.
